CareerCaseOS™

Terms of Service

Effective date: October 17, 2026 · Last updated: October 17, 2026

Version 2026-10-11-pending-counsel

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you before it takes effect.

Summary in plain English (not a substitute for the full Terms)

  • CareerCaseOS is a practice and preparation tool. Everything it gives you (briefs, scripts, rehearsals, voiced rehearsal videos, STAR stories, job-fit notes, readiness scores) is for educational and practice purposes only.
  • It is not legal, HR, employment, financial, tax, immigration, or career-counseling advice, and it is not therapy or a crisis service.
  • We do not guarantee any outcome. No promotion, raise, offer, job, rating or salary is promised.
  • You decide what to say and do at work, and you are responsible for it. Use your own words and your own judgment.
  • Don't put in anything you're not allowed to share, especially your employer's confidential information or other people's personal details.
  • It is for you only. It is never an employer tool, and it may not be used to evaluate other people.
  • You own your content. Export and deletion are always free.
  • Paid plans renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your account, and a 14-day refund is available on a first purchase (section 12).
  • If we ever disagree, we talk first. After that, either of us can go to court. There is no forced arbitration and no class-action waiver (section 19).

1. Who we are and agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Conscious Creation Pathways LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("the Company," "we," "us"), which operates CareerCaseOS (the "Service"), including the website at careercaseos.com, the web application, and the CareerCaseOS iPhone app.

When you create an account you tick a box to say you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. We record which version you accepted and when. These Terms include our Acceptable Use Policy, our Refund Policy, our Cookie Policy and, if you take part in the community, our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If we make a material change to these Terms, we ask you to accept the new version before you carry on (section 21).

2. Eligibility and age

You may use the Service only if you:

  • are at least 18 years old;
  • can form a binding contract where you live;
  • use the Service as an individual, for your own career (see section 9); and
  • are not barred from using it under applicable law.

The Service is for working adults. We do not offer it to anyone under 18.

3. What the Service is

CareerCaseOS helps an individual prepare for their own career conversations. Depending on your plan, it lets you: record your own wins and evidence; build a brief for a conversation (for example, a promotion, pay, review or interview conversation); generate a practice script and rehearse it; play an illustrated, voiced rehearsal "video"; write STAR interview stories; compare a job description you provide with your own evidence; complete readiness and check-in questions; and export or delete your data.

Some content is produced by fixed templates and rules in our software. Some features are optional and use AI models when they are switched on (see section 8 and the Privacy Policy). Features, limits and plans may change.

4. Educational and practice purposes only; not professional advice

4.1 Educational and practice use. The Service and everything it produces are provided for educational and practice purposes only. That includes briefs, talking points, scripts, rehearsal dialogue, the simulated "manager" and "interviewer" responses, voiced rehearsal videos, STAR stories, job-fit notes, readiness scores and analyzer results, check-in responses, negotiation and pitch drafts, and every other output ("Outputs"). Outputs are practice material and starting points for your own thinking. They are not instructions, and they do not predict how any real person or organization will respond.

4.2 Not professional advice. The Service is not legal advice, HR advice, employment advice, financial or investment advice, tax advice, immigration advice, benefits advice, or career-counseling advice. It is not coaching by a licensed or certified professional, and it is not medical, psychological or mental-health care. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, counselor-client or any other professional relationship with the Company. For decisions with legal, financial, immigration, health or significant employment consequences, including anything involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave, disability, wages owed, contracts, non-competes, visas, severance or termination, consult a qualified professional licensed where you live. For questions about your rights at work, official sources such as your state labor department or the US Department of Labor, or an employment lawyer, are the right place to ask.

4.3 Simulations are not real people. Rehearsal counterparts are fictional simulations. They are not your manager, interviewer or any real person, and how they respond does not show how a real person will react.

4.4 Not a crisis or clinical service. Some screens run an automated check for crisis language and may show crisis resources. That check is a limited safety feature. It is not monitoring, diagnosis, counseling or emergency response, and it may miss things or misread them. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 (in the US) or your local emergency number. You can also call or text 988 (the US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). The resources we show are for the United States by default. If the time zone saved in your account is in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand, some screens show that country's line and emergency number instead, and for other places they point to local emergency services and an international directory of crisis lines. You can also write to our support team, but support is not an emergency service and does not reply at once.

5. No guarantee of outcomes

We do not promise or guarantee any result. No promotion, raise, bonus, rating, offer, job, interview, salary, title, negotiation result or other career outcome is promised or implied by the Service, its Outputs, its scores or our marketing. Career outcomes depend on many things we don't control, including your employer's decisions, budgets, policies, the job market, other people, and what you choose to do.

Readiness scores, strength ratings and similar measures come from your own answers under a fixed rubric. They are not predictions, assessments of your worth, or comparisons with other people.

Any satisfaction or refund promise we make (see section 12) is about your satisfaction with the Service, never about an outcome.

6. Your responsibility for how you use Outputs at work

6.1 You decide, and you're responsible. You alone decide whether, when and how to use any Output, whether in a meeting, email, message, review, interview, negotiation or anything else. You are solely responsible for what you say and do and for its consequences, including employment consequences. Read and edit every Output before using it. Use your own words, and include only things that are true.

6.2 Accuracy is your job. Outputs may be incomplete, out of date, wrong for your situation, or (where AI is used) inaccurate or invented. Check every fact, figure, date, name and claim. Do not present anything as fact unless you know it is true, and do not inflate or invent results or metrics.

6.3 Your employer's rules. You are responsible for following your employer's policies, your employment contract and applicable law, for example rules on confidentiality, communications, AI tools, data handling and conduct.

6.4 Recording real conversations. The Service does not record your real workplace conversations and is not meant to. Do not record a real conversation unless everyone in it has agreed. Recording laws differ from place to place, and some require the consent of everyone in the conversation. Your employer may also forbid recording. You are solely responsible for following those laws and rules.

7. Your content, confidential information and other people's data

7.1 You own your content. You keep ownership of what you put into the Service: answers, wins, notes, briefs, job descriptions you paste or upload, STAR stories, check-ins and edits ("Your Content"). As between you and us, and to the extent the law allows, Outputs generated for you from Your Content are yours to use, copy, edit and share. We don't guarantee that Outputs are unique; similar text may be generated for other users, and you get no exclusive rights in our templates.

7.2 The license you give us. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display Your Content only to operate, secure and provide the Service to you. That includes sending the necessary inputs to the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy, and generating synthetic voice audio from rehearsal script text. We do not sell Your Content, we do not use it to advertise to you, and we never share it with your employer. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, and we use AI providers only on terms that do not let them train their models on it. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies held in backups until they expire (see the Privacy Policy) and records the law requires us to keep.

7.3 Confidential and proprietary employer information. Do not enter, paste or upload information you are not permitted to share with a third-party service, including your employer's trade secrets, confidential or proprietary information, non-public financial data, customer or client data, source code, security information, or anything covered by a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement. Describe your contributions in your own general terms instead. You are solely responsible for what you choose to enter or upload and for any breach of your obligations to your employer or anyone else.

7.4 Other people's personal data. CareerCaseOS is about your work. Keep information about other people (managers, colleagues, clients, interviewers) to the minimum you need: a role label such as "my manager" instead of a name, where you can. Do not enter sensitive information about other people, such as health, family, immigration, disciplinary, compensation or performance details. You are responsible for having the right to submit anything you submit about anyone else.

7.5 Uploaded documents. When you upload a file (for example, a job description as PDF, DOCX or text), we extract its text and store the text you save, not the file. Upload only documents you have the right to use, and remove anything confidential or personal before uploading.

8. AI-generated and template content; voice and video

8.1 How Outputs are made. Many Outputs are produced by fixed templates and rules. AI features are optional. When they are switched on, Outputs may be generated by AI models from the providers named in our Subprocessor List. AI output can be inaccurate, biased, incomplete or made up, and template output is general and may not fit your situation. Neither is reviewed by a human before you see it. AI features are never used to give your employer, or anyone else, a view of you.

8.2 Synthetic voices and illustrated characters. Rehearsal videos use synthetic (computer-generated) voices and illustrated characters. They are not recordings of anyone and do not depict or imitate any real person's face, likeness or voice, including yours, your manager's or your interviewer's. They are labeled as AI-generated. You may not use the Service, or any Output, to create or pass off content that imitates a real person, to deceive anyone into believing a real conversation took place, or to make deepfakes. Rehearsal videos are for your private practice.

8.3 Third-party art and voices. Illustrations and voice models may be licensed from third parties and are subject to their licenses; credits are shown in the player. You receive no rights in them beyond private use within the Service.

9. Acceptable use and the individual-only rule

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, the Service is for individuals managing their own careers only. You may not use it, or any Output, to evaluate, score, rank, profile, monitor or make employment decisions about any other person, or on behalf of an employer, recruiter, agency or HR function. We do not offer employer dashboards and will not support attempts to use the Service that way. Breaking this rule is a material breach of these Terms.

10. Community

This section applies only if the community is available to you and you choose to take part. Taking part is optional. Before your first post we ask you to accept the Community Guidelines, and we record the version you accepted.

10.1 What you post is yours. You keep ownership of what you post in the community ("Community Content").

10.2 The license for Community Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and distribute your Community Content to other members inside the Service, and to check and moderate it, only to run the community. We do not use Community Content in advertising. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not sell it. We never give it to an employer. You can end this license for any post by deleting it; once you do, we stop showing it. Copies may remain in backups until they expire, and we keep the moderation record for a post that was reported or removed (what was decided, when and why).

10.3 Conduct. In the community you must follow the Community Guidelines. In short:

  • Do not name an employer, or describe one closely enough to identify it, in a way that identifies a person.
  • Do not share an employer's confidential information.
  • Do not name or identify other people, and do not share anyone's personal details.
  • Do not give legal, medical or financial advice to other members, and do not rely on a post as that kind of advice.
  • Do not harass, threaten or demean anyone, and do not pretend to be someone else, a company, or CareerCaseOS staff.
  • No recruiting, selling or advertising.

10.4 Moderation. Posts may be checked automatically and by a person, before or after they appear. A post can be visible, hidden after reports, waiting for review, or removed by a moderator. We keep a log of every moderation action. We aim to review a reported post within one business day.

10.5 If your post is hidden or removed. We tell you, with the reason. You can ask once for another look, and a person reviews it again. We aim to answer within one business day.

10.6 Limits and suspension. We may limit how many posts are accepted in a day, pause posting for everyone while reading stays open, or suspend your community access if you break the Guidelines. Losing community access does not by itself end your account or your paid plan, and it never affects your right to export or delete your data.

10.7 Other members' posts. Posts are written by members, not by us. They are personal experience, not advice. We do not check them for accuracy, and we are not responsible for what members post.

10.8 If you need help now. The community is not a crisis service. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). If you're in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. Outside the US, contact your local emergency services or a local crisis line.

11. Accounts and security

You sign in by a one-time email link, a one-time code, or (if enabled) a managed sign-in provider; we do not store passwords. The iPhone app pairs to your account with a one-time code and keeps a device key in the phone's Keychain. You are responsible for keeping your email account and paired devices secure, for removing devices you no longer use, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

12. Plans, billing, automatic renewal and refunds

12.1 Plans. The Service has a free tier and may offer paid subscriptions (for example, Core and Pro) and one-time purchases (for example, the Entry Kit and a practice pack). Prices, what each plan includes, and billing intervals are shown before you buy. Paid features may be inactive at launch; this section applies when they are active.

12.2 Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. You authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for the amounts shown, plus applicable taxes.

12.3 Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically, every month or every year depending on the plan you chose, at the price shown when you bought it, until you cancel. Right above the button, before you buy, we show the price, how often it renews, and that it renews until you cancel. One-time purchases do not renew. If we change the price of your plan, we tell you by email before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

12.4 Cancellation. You can cancel any time online from your account (the billing portal) or by emailing [email protected]. Canceling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: you are not charged again, and your plan stays active until that period ends. Canceling is as easy as signing up, with no phone call required.

12.5 Refunds. Refunds follow our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. In short: within 14 days of your first paid charge for a plan or purchase, if you're not satisfied, tell us and we will refund that charge. A renewal you did not mean to pay for is also refundable within 14 days of the charge. If anything in these Terms seems to give you less than the Refund Policy does, the Refund Policy wins.

12.6 Taxes and failed payments. Prices may exclude taxes, which are added where required. If a payment for your plan fails, we tell you in the app and by email, and we tell you the date your paid access will end if the payment is not fixed. We send one more email shortly before that date. If the payment is still not fixed by then, paid features stop until it is. These notices are service messages, not marketing: we send them whatever your marketing email choices are. The email is not sent to an address that has bounced or that reported our mail as spam; the notice in the app still shows.

12.7 Payment disputes (chargebacks). Please contact us first; we can usually fix a billing problem faster than your bank can. If you do dispute a charge with your bank, this is what happens:

  • While the dispute is open, the paid access that charge paid for is paused.
  • If your bank decides the charge stands, your paid access comes back.
  • If your bank takes the money back, a subscription paid by that charge is canceled, and you move to the Free plan (or to an Entry Kit you bought separately). Everything you saved is kept. You can subscribe again later.

12.8 What a refund changes. A full refund ends the paid access that the refunded charge paid for. If your Entry Kit purchase included a practice pack, a refund equal to the pack's price removes the pack and keeps the kit. Your saved work is kept in every case.

12.9 Your free rights. Export and deletion are free and are never affected by billing status, a refund or a dispute.

13. Our intellectual property

The Service (its software, design, templates, frameworks, illustrations, the text we wrote, and the CareerCaseOS name and logo) belongs to the Company or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own career purposes under these Terms. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or offer it to others as your own.

14. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you. This does not give us rights to Your Content.

15. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account page or the iPhone app. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or to protect the Service, users or others. Where reasonable, we will give notice first and a chance to export your data. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example sections 4 to 8, 13 and 16 to 20) survive termination.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, LAWFUL OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR SITUATION, OR THAT USING THE SERVICE WILL PRODUCE ANY CAREER OUTCOME. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this may not apply to you.

17. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

(a) THE COMPANY AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, CONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, WAGES, EARNINGS, OPPORTUNITIES, EMPLOYMENT, PROMOTION, GOODWILL OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, ANY OUTPUT, OR ANY ACTION YOU TAKE OR DON'T TAKE BASED ON THEM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND

(b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (ii) US$100.

These limits do not apply to our own fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your consumer rights that cannot be waived.

18. Your responsibility for misuse

If someone else brings a claim against us because you broke the Acceptable Use Policy, submitted content you had no right to submit (for example an employer's confidential information or another person's private details), or broke the law while using the Service, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim. This applies only as far as the law where you live allows. It does not make you responsible for our own mistakes.

19. Disputes, governing law and courts

19.1 Talk to us first. Before either of us files a claim, we each agree to try to settle it informally for 30 days after written notice. Send yours to [email protected]; we will send ours to your account email.

19.2 Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away any consumer protection that the law of the state where you live gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.

19.3 Courts. If we cannot settle a dispute informally, it will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. Either of us may instead use a small-claims court in the county where you live, if the claim qualifies. Where the law of your home state gives you the right to bring a claim in your home courts, you keep that right.

19.4 No forced arbitration and no class-action waiver. These Terms do not require arbitration. They do not ask you to give up a jury trial, and they do not stop you from taking part in a class or representative action. They do not shorten the time the law gives you to bring a claim.

20. Where the Service is offered

The Service is run from the United States, in US English, and is offered to people who live in the United States. We do not block sign-ups from other countries today. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information is processed in the United States, and you are responsible for following the law where you are. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights your local law gives you that cannot be waived.

21. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may change the Service. We may update these Terms. For a material change we give notice, by email or in the product, at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless a shorter time is needed for a legal or security reason. We then ask you to accept the new version before you carry on. If you don't agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account; export and deletion stay available without accepting. The version in effect when a purchase was made applies to that purchase's refund.

22. General

These Terms (with the policies they reference) are the entire agreement about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Notices to you may be sent to your account email.
